We were rather nervous about what the weather might throw (down) at us, but the sun shone on a mid-July afternoon at the Blithfield Reservoir Education Centre in South Staffordshire. Set among beautiful countryside surrounding the reservoir, our Crew families met for an afternoon of fun, races suitable for those with 22q, good food, and to end with, special 22Crew medals for all! 

Another spectacular fundraiser! A massive "thank you" to Nick Dunn and his fantastic team at PureTech Racing in Horley, for a unique, challenging and addictive night of F1 simulator racing. Who could beat Nick's staff on the Batak machine? Beat 120 and you're in Jenson Button territory. The Wacky Racers and the Cubes fought out qualifying and race sessions. Oh, and a certain young man did beat his dad in the race. And he's not stopped telling everyone (and, I mean, everyone...) since.

A huge thanks to all the boarders and staff at Sunnydown School, Surrey, for their sponsored abseil, which raised over £400 for The 22Crew. Things are looking up (which is better than looking down when you're about to climb out of a window from 55ft up)!

 

On a perfect sunny day in August, crew members gathered at 22Crew Towers for an afternoon of fun, games, food... and trains! This was a great chance for families to meet each other, compare experiences, and for our children to make friends with others with 22q DS.
